Which cloud should we standardize on?

Usually none exclusively. Single-provider standardization simplifies operations but concentrates negotiation and residency risk; portfolio placement — each workload where its data, latency, service and cost profile fit best — wins for most enterprises at scale. What must be standardized is the operating model: identity, logging, network policy and cost governance, uniform everywhere.

How do you handle data-residency requirements for government and BFSI workloads?

By classifying data before choosing platforms. Indian regions from the hyperscalers satisfy many residency mandates; some workloads need private cloud or air-gapped deployment regardless. We design placement per data class with the compliance evidence built in — our GeM-on-GCP delivery is proof that even nationally critical platforms can run on public cloud when architected for it.

Our cloud bill keeps growing — is that inevitable?
